This is one of the most amazing "monsters" I have ever seen!
I suppose that Edmund, who was a trucker for many years, considers this beauty a "minivan".... All the best, David Darom (ddd)

David,
That is quite a tribute. But the real test of friendship is will he let you drive it!? Lin

![]() And apart from that, the friendship that was created between us while working on his book goes way beyond such things... ![]() What I shall do is try and get Edmund to tell us a little more about his new Mega Toy.... All the best, David Darom (ddd)

Hello All...The Large Pickup Truck that Kevin posted is a one of a Kind Super Truck built down in Augusta Georgia By, Custom Trucks by Chris....I was fortunate to have an Extremely Kool client come into my world that insisted i create this beauty in trade for 3 Giant Art Knives...After a great deal of consideration i accepted the challenge and this is the result of last summers custom build....I selected 55 options that came together in this ride....I named her the Liberty Bell on the 4th of July, because only in America can we still do this kind of thing...This is also my Anti Green Machine, my up yours Tree Huggin Liberals that hate us and our craft and trade in Hand Made Knives...This Beauty weighs in at 14,200 pounds full of fuel and me in it...The fuel capacity is 200 gallons, she has a Caterpillar C-7 Engine that has 300 Horse Power and 860 Foot Pounds Torque, backed up with an Allison 3000 RDS 6 speed Transmission, coupled to a Spicer 19,000 Pound Rear End going through a 5.59 Gear Ratio....She gets around 10 miles per gallon and that is not bad for such a heavy vehicle....The tires are Michelin XZY3 20 Ply 385/65R22.5 Wide Base Flotation....When i created the logo for the doors it came to me straight away that i should include The Art of the Integral Knife as part of the design, and with that ad David's DDD to the Logo because he is the one that created that title for the book....David has also become an Integral part of my life outside the Knife Making world....We share many things all the time about our lives....As i have said often, I could never have chosen an Occupation that has been as rewarding as Knife Making, and David was delivered into my life to become a great friend....If all is well i shall have her at the Blade Show, parking being an issue because she stands 8 feet tall at the roof line and 10 feet one and half inches from the tip of the 6" stacks to the ground, so the parking deck is right out of the Question....As for driving this vehicle, i am an old Trucker that has over one Million Miles from those days behind the wheel, now i am back on the road sharing another responsibility to the motoring public, because this ole girl is a lane full. Enjoy. Edmund.
