Default Trading is fun and then some

As Marcel has already posted we had the pleasure of exchanging some knives. The first two are the trade pieces, the third bowie was just icing on the cake. At the same time, not from Marcel I picked up this little Ed Caffrey EB3 for a new daily carry.

Thanks Marcel!!

Jon

I just commented on Marcels post but again, it makes me happy to see trades like this. I like the Andres bowie. The colab is nice too. Nice grabs.

They are all very nice and I agree trades can be quite good. This forum provides the aappopriate venue and introductions to like minded collectors. I for one am comfortable with everyone I have come in contact with and would buy, sell, & trade with any of them. Another good example when you develop that trust would be the March of Dimes Bowie. Marcel (who I trust) is moving away from large knives which are pretty much all I collect now. I was really not very enthusiastic, but he pursuaded me into it. I am really glad he did as it is my favorite out of the 3 Bowies he sent.

My finest Warenski Bowie was achieved in a trade. And another favorite Warenski with a really wild-ass blade (Jerry knows, LOL) was also arranged in a trade. Both trades with friends.

I think some real gems pass between astute collectors who, each on their own, know what they want.

One of my other favorites is a Sfreddo turkish twist chute knife I received from Murray White in a trade. A magnificent piece. Trading can be most rewarding, and in this context I speak not of monetary reward.

In the spirit of trading is fun I welcome any CKCA member to check out my album. Everything is potentially available for intersting trades, more preferrable than selling right now. If you see a knife or two you like and have some you think I might like, let me know.

Jon

we still have not seen the way to access all the albums -- wish someone could find out how but in the meantime maybe folks can add their album to their sig file. I know I did that for mine but not sure it it gets there because when I accessed it from another method the url is different. will test it again from my sig and see what happens

it worked but asked me to log in so not sure what will happen if someone else tries to click on the CKCA photo site -- last line in my sig file. I still have not figured out how to get the Logo to show up either.

Murray,
select anyone's name who you want to view their photos;
select "view public profile";
select their "photo album"

Murray,

I am not sure if this is the same way Kevin is suggesting but it works. If you go to the member list under community pick any member. Once you do, on the right hand side usually under their "friends" you will see their album if they have one.

Give it a try, Jon
