November 2012 Blade Magazine
I always look forward to receiving my Blade magazine, and this one did not disappoint.
A nice write-up by Shackleford on page 10 about the CKCA/Fisk Cutlery Challenge, with an accompanying photo of our very own Kevin and Jerry, together with Elizabeth Loerchner.
A nice review of the 2012 Blade Show with some good pictures, including an excellent look at Mike Ruth, Jr.'s awesome "Maritime Law" which won Best of Show. I also liked the pics of Ron Newton's "Best Handle" winner, David Lisch's "Best Damascus" winner, and Van Barnett's "Best Art Knife" winner.
Other knives shown in this issue which I liked include Tad Lynch's cool subhilt fighter (although I would have liked it better if the guard and sub-hilt had not been damascus), Lin Rhea's Ferncliff, Brian Tomberlin's Persian fighter, Mike Craddock's fighter, and especially Don Hanson's absolutely stunning damascus fighter on page 75 (wow!).
But my favorite thing is the lengthy article, together with cover photo, on the Hibben knives being featured in the new movie "The Expendables 2." And coincidentally, there is a nice full page advertisement from United Cutlery for officially licensed verions of those knives! How about that?
So all in all, another interesting issue of Blade magazine.
