... and might even come in earlier. I ordered a copy through Amazon a couple of days ago and the status said 'in stock'. News as I know.
Always a good read. :)

You're probably right Jim as I've found they often beat the projected release date by a week or more.
I'm looking forward to receiving mine.

I've ordered mine from Amazon weeks ago and sure hope to have it on my doorstep before the end of september.
I browsed the available pages and there is a great article by Don Guild on the very very talented scrimhander Dr. Hans-Peter Jensen. Don knows how to pic a talent:)

There should also be a piece on the fascinating Phil Lobred and his stunning collection of San Francisco knives. Great subject, not so sure about the writer, though. :o

Roger, now you're being too modest. There is nothing wrong with your writing talent, going by previous articles. As Dr. Phil would say: past behaviour is the best indicator for future behaviour (or something like that).:D:)

I picked up a copy at Barnes and Noble today. I haven't had much of a chance to do anything other than skim through it looking at the pictures. There are some knives from CKCA members in there as you would expect. Including one of my favorite knives, Lin Rhea's quillion dagger. And Roger's article pops in on page 8. Shoot I even make my first appearance in a Knives book.

Picked up a copy from Barnes & Noble yesterday.
Enjoyed your article, Roger. It was engaging.
Always fun to see a knife from your collection published. Kevin, a nice pic of one of yours on page 77. I'll stop here so there's some fun for you as you flip through when you get your copy.
I haven't posted much on any forums since Blade. Other things in life became big priorities but...I'm baaaaaack :)

Rob, I noticed the Royer on page 77. Don't think I didn't notice that beautiful Hanson of yours on pg 122 as well. ;)
It appears CKCA members (makers & collectors) did very well in 2011.

Anyone try reading the DVD that is attached inside the back cover?
I tried reading it on my PC and DVD player and it shows as unreadable?

I saw it was a DVD and was thinking it was a "video", which it isn't.
The small print on it indicates it is viewed with Adobe Reader 6.0 or higher.
It looks like an electronic copy of Blade magazines from 1997 to 2007.
