Hi I am a blacksmith & bladesmith from seattle WA I have been making knives for 5 or 6 years now I like making bowies hunters and skinners I will make a kitchen knife now and then I have made two folders and will be taking another folder class soon. I normally do 4 shows this year Blade, Blade West, The OKCA show, and the ACE show; Artisans of Cutlery Exhibition put on by Tom Ferry. Tom is a good friend of mine and was a big help when I was getting started. I am an ABS JS I took the test in 09. A new friend of mine, a collector and CKCA member, Jon Klein told me I should join the CKCA. I have wanted to join but did not think I would have enough time to be an active member as I already spend a lot of time on BF but I will try to be a productive member of CKCA. I will look in on this to answer any ? you might have for the new B.

If I can get back to Seattle it would be fun to visit. I have seen you previously of course in BF and in person as I recall at the Montana show. I'm a UW grad '64.

Another warm welcome to CKCA, David. I've got a good picture of you from the Big Sky Country Hammer-in this past summer, talking with Larry Fuegen after his carving demonstration. Folks might want to see what you look like:

Thanks Buddy and I think that shot was just before he started I am playing with carving on the handles but like all things it takes time to get good enough to fill like you can do it on a knife and add value to the knife rather take value away but one day it will show up on a knife. It was good to show that to my wife she thinks I just go to those things to get out of the house work.
