I posted the finished knife in the "show" section, but also have some pictures of the final process.

Here I'm missing a picture where the manganese phosphate layer is hand rubbed with a 2000 grip sandpaper, leaving the "hills" shiny white and the "valleys" dark.

Nice to follow your work, your construction is different from mine. But very intresant to follow. A very clean and beautiful knife.

Thank you guys.
Bruce, I remember you where interested in the twisting process, you can check out some pictures of that in here: http://www.armasblancas.com.ar/foros/cuchillos-en-fase-de-diseno-o-proceso-fixed-blade-knives-works-progress/28031-hunter-en-damasco-merovingio-ultimo-dia-de-trabajo-2.html (it's from another knife I'm doing, but the process is the same)

Manuel thanks for such a detailed WIP. I can attest first hand to the precise execution of your Damascus. I really like this pattern a lot.

Great looking piece.

Manuel

Thank you for all the information as well as the other link. You have some very interesting tools. Did you make the power hammer? I like the steel plate sides allowing your work to be fed straight into the hammer.

Thanks again for sharing

Brian

You are welcome Brian.
Thank you for your comments.
I did not make my power hammer, I was lucky enough to find it in mi local junk yard. Very lucky indeed...
